Back in Mikey's classroom, school was as tedious as ever. No one noticed Mikey's absence simply because Mikey's earlier wish not to be noticed remained in effect.
Unfortunately, the rock had no such wish attached to it and was still lying on the floor where it fell after Mikey turned into a phantom.
Fred Orr for his part was getting bored with the problems he was supposed to be dealing with in his textbook and instead started looking around. He quickly spied the rock which he recognized from his earlier encounter with Mikey.
Stretching out his leg he slowly dragged the rock to within reach. Picking it up he mumbled under his breath "I wish I knew how it got here?"
Instantly he did know.
He knew that the rock was magical and that Mikey had first used it to wish that no one would notice him and to turn himself into a ghost with the ability to possess people.
Thinking quickly Fred said "I wish no one would notice me either unless I wished it and that I could command Mikey to do whatever I want." He wondered where Ghost Mikey in fact was and once again said "I wish I knew who Mikey was possessing and where he was." Once again the rock worked its magic.
Mikey in fact had just arrived near the school. He luckily found a large parking space by a fire hydrant and was spared the ordeal of parallel parking. Awkwardly he got out of his mother's car and squeezed his/her feet into her shoes. Picking up her purse he teetered into school and using his pay no attention to me power s/he was able to sneak right past the front office.
Whew, it was almost over. He could just walk into his class, pick up the rock, wish himself to become a living boy again (just like Danny Phantom), and then wish Mom and her car back home exactly as when he possessed her. Piece of cake.
Cautiously he opened the classroom door and sure enough nobody seemed to pay any attention to him. With a sigh of relief he headed towards his desk. Yet with a growing sense of dread, Mikey scanned for the absent rock, an unsettling feeling made infinitely worse when he finally did find it ...inside Fred Orr's hand.
"Welcome back Mikey. The two of us are gonna have a lot of fun now aren't we?"
"Yes master." Mikey heard his mother's voice saying against his will.
