Fortunately, Jon had left his door unlocked. But when Mikey reached into the rock's hiding place, he got a shock -- it wasn't there. At first, he thought his brother might have switched it to a new spot, but then he figured out that Jon probably took it with him to visit Karyn.
Disappointed, Mikey left the room and trudged down the hallway and down the stairs. Sheila was still in the foyer, looking at herself in the mirror that hung on the wall there.
As Mikey got to the bottom of the stairs, he had another idea. He'd said, "Sheila, you're magic," and that's how he got her clothes to change. So he'd transformed her into someone with a magic power. Maybe he could give her even more magic power, making it so it was like she was holding the rock, that she could make wishes and have them come true. He thought about just that, but couldn't tell if it had worked or not.
Sheila turned to him and asked, "So where did you go?"
Mikey shrugged. "Upstairs."
"Well, are you ready to turn me back yet? Come on, Mikey, I wish..."
