"Mikey!" said his mother, heading toward the dumpster. "Go in and get the recycling bin, would you, please? Oh, hi, Karyn!"
"In a minute!" said Mikey, aggravated by the interruption.
"Right now!"
Mikey sighed. He couldn't do anything to Karyn with his mother watching anyway. Karyn smiled and said hello to him and Mikey nodded with a forced smile on his face.
"Did you hear me, young man?" said his mother.
"Boy, she's a nag today," said Mikey to himself in a low voice. Then, he saw Karyn stop. Her hands went to her mouth. There was a look of horror on her face.
