Unaware of what he had done to Karyn, Mikey rushed around to the tall fence that surrounded Mrs. Higgins backyard. Peeping through the hole, he could see the poodle that he had turned her into laying on the ground a few feet from Pierre. She was growling at him menacingly.
"Oh, looks like they're not playing anymore," Mikey said. "I'd better change Mrs. Higgins back before they start fighting." He concentrated on the poodle and said, "Be Mrs. Higgins again."
He watched as the poodle's shape began to change. In a few seconds, a naked Mrs. Higgins stood up and looked herself over. Then, she turned to her dog. "Bad Pierre!" she shouted. "Bad dog!" And she went over and kicked the confused poodle, causing him to let out a yelp and run across the yard.
Mikey didn't understand why Mrs. Higgins was mad at Pierre. He hadn't done anything. It was Mikey that had made her into a poodle. Angry with her, he decided to turn her into something else for a while. But what should he make her this time?
