Nothing however, was ever quite like the adventure that began when a certain magic wishing stone (complete with wooden box and mysterious yet informative note addressed to someone called "Jon") fell into the hands of Princess Charity.
The stone appeared with only a sudden flash announcing its arrival. Princess Charity would not even have noticed it had she not been vainly gazing in her massive floor to ceiling mirror at the time. Dropping her hair brush she turned to find the strange rock laying on her bed.
While being a Princess in this particular kingdom should have afforded her a certain sense of caution when it came to obviously magical objects, Charity was, well...let's say impulsive. And not overly bright, at that. So tentatively she walked over and picked it up.
"Hmm," The princess sat on the soft satin sheets in thought, examining the stone. Correctly surmising by the stone's strange hue and shape that it was obviously artificial-and magical-in nature, she determined to take it to the court magician at once.
So, with a glance at the gargantuan mirror to make sure her dress was smooth and her makeup flawless, she left her chambers to head to the magicians tower. However, halfway there in the southwest passage, Princess Charity came upon a most disgusting sight. Her sister, Purity, and her boyfriend Prince Karl enjoying the view over the city, holding hands, and sharing the occasional shy kiss.
Thinking quickly the older princess hid behind a pillar, gripping the stone tight in her hand in anger. Spying on her much more shapely sister and her handsome would-be lover she made what would, in the fullness of time, prove to be a colossal mistake as the words "I wish..." slipped past her perfectly glossed lips.
