Arriving back home, Jon and Karyn couldn't help but be oddly excited about the guillotine even though neither of them could place exactly why.
"Pretty cool huh?" Jon finally remarked after they had unloaded the device from his truck.
"Ya, its awesome. Do you have anything we can slice?", she questions you.
"Well I know we just happen to have this watermelon to slice."
After Jon retrieved the watermelon from his refrigerator, Karyn ran over to him and snatched the fruit out of his hands. "I have to try this out first."
Karyn hastily loaded the watermelon into the stocks and accidentally hit the lever while she was still in the way of the blade. The watermelon was sliced cleanly in two while the blade stopped with a thud.
"That was close!" Jon remarked as he went to check on Karyn.
"I know, I could've been..." Karyn stopped and screamed as she noticed that her right hand had been severed cleanly at the wrist. She felt like she was going into shock when she didn't notice any pain from the cut. Calming down for a moment, she also saw that where her hand was severed, there was a new patch of skin instead of the bloody stump she was expecting.
"Am I imagining this?!" Both Jon and Karyn were white as ghosts after experiencing this ordeal. Jon walked over to the other side of the stock to look at her hand and its wound was sealed up just like Karyn's wrist. Jon picked it up to examine it when Karyn said something.
"Hey I can feel you holding my hand." With that she made her severed hand open and close its fingers several times while Jon was still holding it.
"Really? How does it feel not having your hand on the end of you arm?"
"Strange, very strange. Umm can i have my hand back?"
"Oh right sorry, umm here." Jon said as he "handed" back her severed appendage.
She grabed her hand and tried to put it back on her wrist, which to her relief reattached and sealed up automatically. Jon couldn't help but notice the look on Karyn's face as she made an evil smile. "Let's try a little experiment."
