Karyn decided she'd had enough. And remembering the old man's warning, she wasn't about to find out the side effects if too many people were assimilated. She flipped the switch at the back of the gun, and pointed it at Jon.
ZZZZAAAAPPPP
When the flash cleared, Jon was back to normal. But he didn't look too upset.
"... I really think we should avoid using this thing for now. Who knows what might happen. I mean, look at Sarah."
Sarah looked around, confused. "Where is she? Is she making fun of our outfit again? I swear she is such a stuck up bitch."
"Sorry, uh... Karyn."
"So are we going to finally try the gun or not?" Sarah asked.
ZZZZAAAAPPPP
"-and I really don't have time to waste on you two dorks." Sarah was back to normal, her posture shifted as she regained her pride.
Jon looked at Karyn, "She didn't even notice! Karyn, that thing is powerful." Karyn could only nod as she flipped the switch on the gun, knowing how oblivious Jon himself was to his own transformation moments before.
"What are you two talking about?" she saw the shiny ray gun in Karyn's hand and quickly snatched it from her.
"Is this from one of your stupid science fiction shows? Gawd, you dweebs will waste money on anything," then she looked up at them, "Well, anything but clothes,"
"Sarah, give it back..." Jon said.
"You really want this cheap hunk of metal?" She giggled, and playfully raised the gun at Jon and Karyn.
