Jon decided that it was better not to risk Karyn being seriously hurt. There was no telling what that would mean in the bookmark world. So ever so slowly, he made his way down the stairway.
Unfortunately, Jon had never attempted to walk down a stairway in heels before.
Sure enough, as soon as he lost the lumination from the hall, his heel slipped, and, giving an appropriately feminine shriek, he tumbled painfully down the stairs, long hair whipping in the air as he went. Fortunately, he felt his fall broken by something soft.
Slowly, he got up, stretching his bruised body painfully and flipping the blonde ponytail out of his field of vision. Whatever he was sitting on moaned and shifted beneath him.
"Get your hair out of my face."
"Oh. Sorry." Jon said, again flipping his ponytail out of the way as he stood up off of Karyn.
