Karyn was having a hard time deciding, she felt as though her head was full of fluff. She picked up various books, though not very well, and then put them down again after staring blankly at the pages. Jon watched her carefully and with a growing feeling that something was wrong. Soon his fears were realised when Karyn grunted in an annoyied voice.
"What the bloody 'ell's goin' on... I can't read any of t'ese!"
Jon realised instantly what was wrong. Trolls, although cunning and clever, were not particurally intellegent and, apparently, they were illiterate.
Jon's heart sank, it looked like he was going to have to chose after all. He feverishly racked his brain trying to think of a book where the villain or any of the other characters died, but that was still set in a fantasy world. It was really difficult because all the books he knew that had elves and trolls in them pitted the two races against each other. Eventually, he got an idea, there was one book, he had borrowed a long time ago from Zoe that had been based off of Norse mythology, that had made the trolls and the elves allies against a common enemy.
"There's only one book I know of that might help." Jon said on a sigh in his new high pitched femine voice, "It's called 'Valkyrie Tide'. It makes elves and trolls allies against the valkyries."
Karyn clapped her huge mits in exsitement and nashed her fangs.
"Sounds good ta me. Where's it at, then?" She growled.
"That's the problem, I borrowed it from Zoe. It's going to be weird asking her for it when I'm and elven princess and your a monsterous troll, don't you think?"
