Karyn jumped between Jon and the mask just in time to catch it before it was worn by Jon. She let out a cry of pain and dropped the mask to the floor with blood folowing it. Jon looked at Karyns hands to find that there were two large cuts on them that were bleeding very badly. Jon quickly made a wish.
"I wish that Karyns hands were no longer hurt and all of the blood was cleaned up." After the wish was made all of the blood vanished, but Karyn now had two very large scars on her hands where she was cut. The mask now was on the ground at Jon's feet and the voice was no longer heard.
"What happened, I thought that all of the power had been drained from the mask." Karyn said. "Maybe there's more to the mask than we know.
Jon held the rock in his hand and made another wish. "I wish we knew how the mask gets it's power and all of the dangers that it has."
The voice again returned to tell him and Karyn what they wanted to know. "The mask is a magical item that has the power to reverce wishes that the stone of wishes makes. It can also be used to undo any other wish that has ever been made by any magical sorce. When it does this it uses the mana in the person who whears it to undo the wish. In turn the mask also causes the mana of person to become more dark. When a wish is made by the rock, the mana it unleashes remanes with the target of the wish until it is undone or the time limit runs out. When the mask undoes a wish, it absorbes the mana of the wish after it makes it dark. Therefor, the biger the target undone, the more mana the mask will absorb and the more power it will get. This mask also has the power to act on it's own for short times, but it uses alot of it's mana so it cannot do it for long. the spikes that are on the sides of the mask are very sharp and will never get dull. Any damage done to something will never heal unless it is altered by the rock as you have see with the girl. Also, the mask does not need to undo wishes to get the mana from it's whearor. It will simply change the mana too dark if is not already dark and then drain it out of the whearor. After that the mask will take the soule of the person for more power and use the body like a pupet untill removed, then the person is discarded and the mask moves on to the next unfortunate whearor. The mask also has the power to manipulate the powers of other magical items mana so the item will act as the mask wants it to. This can only be done when the mana and soule of the whearor have been taken and the body is just a pupet. There is hope for the whearor after their soule is taken for it can be returned with the power of the rock, however the mana cannot be returned ans therefor the body will remain in a coma like state untill a mana transfer is done by one that knowes how to. If the mask's power is used by someone or something just one time, it may be posible to breake away from the mask befor it is too late. If the mask's power is used more than once, then the one who whears it is doomed to be taken by the mask. One more danger that the mask has is that if the eyes are stared into for too long, then it has the chance to look into the soule and mind of who ever or what ever lookes into the eyes. After that the mask will offer them what ever they want if they put it on. If they agree than the mask can have them do what ever it wants and little by little will take their mana and soule away. The mask cannot be destroyed unless the desendants of the four sages are brought together and preform the ritual of destruction while the mask is in controll of a persons body. If done right then the mask will be destroied, but the person will go with it. The ritual must also be preformed when the Earth is in danger of being destroied. The same ritual was preformed long ago when the moon was coming to destoy the Earth, but it was preformed wrong and the hero had to kill the person to stop the mask. When the ritual if done wrong the mask will only be stuned for a few moments, just long enough to kill the one who whears it."
"Wow, that is alot we need to know about this mask." was all that Karyn could say after they were told the information by the rock.
"I guess that it used the power it got from me and the wish that i undid to try and put itslef on me." Jon stated now that he knew what had happened. "But why wasn't I trasported away when the mask began to change me?"
"I guess that because you only used it once you weren't in any real danger." Karyn said trying to make sence of her wish failing. "I wonder who the desendants of the sages are, and who the desendant of the hero and sorceror are."
Jon clutched the rock in his hand and said, "We could always wish for that knowledge, but lets do them one at a time."
Jon thought for a moment, should he wish to know the desendants of the four sages, or maybe the hero, or should he wish to know the desendant of the sorceror so that he and Karyn could keep the mask away from him or her.
