Jon turned the TV on, and began scanning the channels for some program where someone would make a wish. After several minutes, and still no success, Jon just turned off the TV.
"I guess people don't say 'I wish' as often as you'd think," he said.
"Maybe it's for the better. Who knows, you could have become trapped in one of the TV shows!" Karyn said.
"I doubt it. Well, what do you want to do now?"
"Don't you want to see what more that pendant can do? I've been kind of curious about some of its effects."
"Like what?"
"Well, back there at the mall, when we changed a couple of times, you and I seemed to be the only ones who noticed any changes. I mean, the thong I could understand. But when you turned into a little girl and then I got those tiny clothes, nobody seemed to notice that we'd transformed. Almost like we had always been that way, you know?"
"Sounds strange, Karyn." Karyn was about to say more, when the front door suddenly opened and Jon's mother came walking into the living room. Jon noticed his mother didn't seem to be in the best moods.
"Hi mom," Jon said. "You're home from work kind of early. What's wrong?"
