A short time later, Jon and Karyn arrived at the amusement arcade. They spent the rest of the afternoon there, where thanks to her magic pendant Karyn won every game she played. Later, Jon walked Karyn back to her house before heading home. Tomorrow was Monday and they would see each other again at school.
After dinner, Jon stayed up late into the night researching the strange coin he'd been given, but without success. With more than a tinge of disappointment, he put his coin and textbook to one side and went to bed.
Jon had stayed up so late the previous night that he almost slept in when he should've been heading to school! Fortunately his mother was there to remind him and so with haste Jon got washed and dressed and had the fastest of breakfasts before leaving the house.
