“Um, Sure.” Jon said looking at Zoe who smiled happily at her brother. The problem was that Jon wasn’t sure which school to go to. He wasn’t sure how much had changed yet so, seeing as both schools were in the same direction, he decided to see when he got there.
“Come on Zoe.” Jon said as he headed out the door. Zoe ran to catch up to him. The walk to school was much more pleasant than it previously had been. Zoe talked non stop about different subjects; comic books, cartoons, comic books, the latest video game and more comic books. At least Jon could contribute to the conversation this time.
Along the way, they stopped at Jon and Karyn’s usual meeting place. Today, they had got there before Karyn and had to wait a while.
“Hey Jon-Boy, Zoe!” Karyn greeted them when she finally met up with them. Jon noticed the immediate difference in Karyn and Zoe’s relationship. They normally barely acknowledged each other and then moved on. Today, however, it seemed like they actually had a proper conversation going.
Eventually, they made to the high school and to confirm Jon’s suspicions it appeared that Zoe still went to school here. At least for now.
