“Hi daddy!” Zoe said happily as she bounced into the kitchen and sat down. Jon watched with amusement. Zoe seemed so full of energy this morning. Based on how Mikey was acting the complete opposite, Jon was not surprised.
“Good morning my little angel.” Dad said smiling at his daughter. Jon again had to stifle a laugh. It was funny watching how his parents reacted to their children’s changes while also going through their own changes.
Like Mikey, Zoe was now wearing one of Mikey’s T-shirts, one which depicted a cartoon character on the front and was magically resized to fit her. Zoe’s hair was also in a bit of a mess, almost like she hadn’t taken care of it this morning. Although, Jon supposed that that was like Mikey as well.
Dad served up breakfast before sitting down himself. Jon noticed that Roger was sitting how his mom would, with his legs crossed.
After breakfast, Jon watched as his dad cleaned up while instructing Mikey and Zoe to get ready for school. Both siblings pouted but complied. Jon went up to his own room to grab his school things and he decided to take the rock with him just in case.
By the time Jon had returned downstairs, Roger was already handing Zoe her bag.
“Oh Jon, there you are. Do you mind walking Zoe to school? I’d ask Mikey but he’s already left.”
Jon nodded.
“Um, sure.”
