“Come on honey let’s go.” As the walked out of the store Sarah heard a buzzing that seemed to be coming from her handbag. After a bit of digging, Sarah found her phone. She sighed after being reminded that she no longer had her expensive iPhone. She looked at the caller id. It was someone named Zoe. Sarah didn’t know anyone called Zoe but she decided to answer it anyway.
“Hello?”
“Hey Sarah.” The voice sounded slightly familiar, maybe someone from school? “I figured that I’d let you know that I’d be home late. Athena and I are going to the occult shop to pick up something.” With that Zoe hung up without even saying goodbye leaving Sarah even more confused.
Zoe? Athena? Weren’t they the Goth girls who hung out at school? Sarah paused for a moment and looked at Mikey who seemed bored.
“Are we going home now?” He asked. Sarah nodded but first, she needed to figure out where home was.
