Dennis felt… uncomfortable.

There was no reason to be. He was sitting on his favorite chair, playing one of his favorite games, in his own room with a snack of chocolate chip cookies- and things were… not going to well. Sure he was wracking up a lot of good points and was spending a fun round of role playing the situation. His favorite game was a kind of Online RPG- and he was playing a girl in it- he didn’t really think much of it. It wasn’t that he had any ‘odd’ feelings of his own gender, he just preferred playing a female because it just looked so damn awesome when she flung her magical spells... but… right now it just didn’t feel…

… It didn’t feel like him. He couldn’t get into it.

‘I’m sorry I need to log off,’ he typed to his online team-mates.

‘Already?’ Ozzy-demon193 replied.

‘Yeah.. sorry. RL issues.’ That was the usual sign off when something heavy weighed on his mind and.. yeah, there were an awful lot of issues. Not to him specifically maybe but to his friend. He took a breath and shut down his game, the soft buzz of the hard drive going to a more idle state. He was greeted by the picture of his desktop wallpaper; an anime girl of long green hair in a white dress. He had no clue who she was, but maybe that was part of the charm she had and why he kept her there. She was always smiling at him.. a comforting image that felt like it protected the computer from viruses.

“What’s wrong with me,” he asked talking to the wallpaper image. He got up, his large stomach pushing away the keyboard on its own. “Okay… my best friend just turned into a girl- a space girl and...” he gulped. That weird feeling… a feeling every boy knew and what it meant. “I find her attractive,” he admitted to the two dimensional smiling face with the most nonjudgmental eyes he had ever seen. Still he couldn’t even face her… or anyone with these feelings. He turned away from the screen and laid back in his bed. The weight on his knees getting some relief from both the brief motion and lack of weight. “Okay… so I find her body attractive.. I mean- is that really so wrong? It’s a girl! It would be weird for me not to find her... pretty.” Why couldn’t he enjoy thinking of her like that? The weird thing was that she was a girl that knew him, and he knew her more then anyone else. If she were a girl could.. could they…

He buried his head in the pillow. “Urgh! No of course not!” Why was he even thinking that! There was no way in hell a boy who turned into a girl would be attracted to boys! Even if she was… by some weird odd quirk of biology, even if she somehow could feel something there was no way she would like a boy that was… him.

Dennis felt his stomach churn as he choked up at that thought. “I’m a loser… my only friend in the whole school was just taken away from me by aliens and turned into a girl- a girl I actually find attractive just to mock me.” It was a joke… a tease… she was no better then the bullies that teased him for being overweight! His friend had gone off to the dark side. The freakin’ girl side!

… or maybe she was just... still the same person?

“It can’t ever be the same though can it?” He turned back to the computer with the anime girl wallpaper, who was still smiling at him. A faint blush on her loving cheeks, her fingers poised to a soft wave as if.. reaching out. He reached back to his computer on the desk, unlocking the computer to a tablet mode. The touchscreen lit up for his use in a reclined position and the anime girl listened to him. He pressed his finger to the touchscreen right where her palm waved… then clicked for the web browser. The girl was gone, and all he had now was the pure white blank browser. Dennis took a deep breath. “Maybe I can learn more about their spaceship on the xenopedia.”

Xenopedia was a new wiki where a community added everything they could whenever they found out more about the aliens. Dennis actually realized if he provided the information about Scott and what happened to her… he could become an internet sensation. There would be so much to gain! He could be famous- well- ‘internet famous’… the first one to document something so surreal that happened with the application of alien technology. However… this was Scott! His best friend. He couldn’t do that. If he did write about Scott on this website, her life would be over. People would swarm in to know who she was, and document her entire life- she might end up leaving the planet! The aliens could erase all knowledge of what happened- no. No no… he didn’t want Scott to have to leave because of something he did! Dennis was lucky to even know about this and.. if he wasn’t careful, he didn’t know what could happen. It was best to just be careful.

Still, he always loved learning more about them.

… He clicked on the link to see their spaceship. It came into view.. it was a bit hard to describe from the photograph. It looked like an elongated bulk that looked a floating plant in space- yet clearly stronger then any rose. The material it was made from reflected light making it very shiny. The assumption on Earth was that the material somehow deflected radiation, which made the material act like a small star. There was a single concentric ring of sorts that orbited it and yet nothing was tethered. Again, the assumption was that this was a form of a magnetic lock of some kind, perhaps a way to generate artificial gravity? That made zero sense though now that it was found they preferred zero gravity…

He zoomed in on their engine; a star drive… a mass driver… warp drive- theories abounded on the net. The pictures didn’t give much on what drove the strange machine. There were no exhaust ports, or anything. There were just a few groves that looked like the concentric rings of a tree when cut. In some ways it did look a lot like a strange tree from a certain angle. The only thing they had to go on was the entry into Earth’s orbit but even then, the ship was traveling at sub-light speed. He watched the video of the ship’s approach to Earth’s solar system from the far off stars…

Then somewhere along the lines he fell asleep.

“Captain. We are taking heavy damage. Shields failing.” The voice of a computer rang out in clear robotic tones.

Dennis was trying his best to move the ship at the helm. The sleek futuristic surface of various indicators somehow conveying a sense of urgency. This was supposed to be an easy mission. What was their mission again? It didn’t matter, right now they were under attack. He glanced at the captain, her face shielded by a strange aura of light. “What should I do?”

“Evade for now, and move us to the other side of the binary stars. Let’s try and analyze our foe from a distance.”

“Yes Captain,” Dennis looked at the controls and started to pilot the ship. He glanced back- someone was missing. What happened? Where was he.. “Please captain can I just ask- what is Scott’s condition?” he was so worried. The accident.. what happened!

“That’s not for you to know Ensign,” a voice shook her head as a new officer floated to the bridge, using the tunnel above them- the blue-haired girl… “There’s a lot of damage. We have to repair the ship now. Follow your orders and leave Scott to us.”

Dennis felt like he wanted to say otherwise but the stern look made him capitulate. He had a job to do… so looked back to the controls annoyed as the odd blinking lights suddenly made a lot less sense. He couldn’t fly of course, so that meant the others had to fix the ship given the odd geometry it had- (why in the world would there be gravity here as he was the only person here affected by it) and do things while he was just on guard duty in case the aliens attacked. “Why are they even attacking us?” They didn’t do anything for this! Those horrible bullies…

“Because they can,” the captain spoke gently. Now Dennis recognized her. She was that green haired girl... Suddenly he was no longer feeling nervous. The Captain knew what she was doing, she always had a plan. Her presence filled him with calm and a sense of purpose. She would let him go see his friend right?… “Captain?” He pleaded again when they were in the calm of the binary stars. “Can I please see Scott? I’m just worried… is he in sickbay? Will he get back to normal after what they did to him?”

“You will see him,” she nodded. “She’s had a bad accident. She might not even remember you. She’s been completely mutated. She’s undergoing brain scans.”

“… not remember me?” All the missions they had done together.. all of it for naught in the end? “I can make her remember! Magic can fix it right?”

“Magic isn’t the problem,” The captain said sternly. “Look out- there’s a rip in the space-time continuum! Ensign Scott take us around it!” The strange cloud appeared ahead of the ship, a strange eye of a galactic storm.

“I- I think I can go back-”

“No you can’t turn back from it! Never turn back! Either ahead or around! Ahead or around! Ahead or around...”

The alarms were ringing all around him. The ship couldn’t take much more. This was it… he had failed- he couldn’t- he-

Beep… beep… beep.

“Dennis?” Called out his mother. “Time to wake up!” She smiled. “I have breakfast ready for you.”

The young teenager blinked groggily. It was morning.. he fell asleep? What a weird dream…

“… uh.. yeah, coming mom.” He glanced to his computer which he had fallen asleep with. He sheepishly set it back to the docking station. Sunlight streamed out the cracks of his curtains… He guessed Scott would have been all fixed up by now. The aliens would have restored him to normal. Yeah… they could- they had amazing technology that could do anything! “Will Scott be in school today?” He hoped that the treatment wouldn’t have made him sick for a while… maybe It would be something they could have a laugh about afterwards… right? Part of him hoped so but…

… another part- a guilty part of him just hoped to see that girl’s body again...

Scott woke up slowly. The first sensation she had was of an arm brushing against her face. “Huh?” Layka.. oh yes- they were on the ceiling. Pink hair ran across her eyes as she slowly recalled the events of the previous day. The strange transformation into this… this girl. The alien girl… a true Dalzinian daughter to her St- her mother.

Forever…

Forever and ever…

Forever… forever? Until she was old and- and-

Sensing her distress Lakya’s grip grew tighter. The young girl seemed to be smiling happily. She had her antenna’s brushing against Scott’s own which started to tingle. A little spark of energy danced between them arcing like static electricity. Scott didn’t really know what that was about, though it felt kind of nice. Sort of like a strange mental hug that seemed… surreal. Layka then opened her eyes and finally loosened her grip. <Nice sleep,> she said simply. <Breakfast?>

<I- yes. Breakfast.> At least food would be a relatively normal affair. Scott was still not quite sure how to even deal with all this as she uneventfully floated down from the ceiling. She slowly floated down the empty corridors, realizing she was getting the hang of this.. hanging around the air. A little tension in her legs and she was moving forward… a little rotation she was able to correct by simply flexing her ankles- yes that was right- so… how did she stop- ‘bonk’

“Ow!” She moaned. Bathroom door… right. She slowly moved to the sink and looked at herself in the mirror. That face- that pink haired antenna alien girl stared back at her. Modest sized breasts that were certainly full enough to catch attention. It was no wonder her body sent Dennis through a loop. She looked down… wondering if she was supposed to do anything… well… different?

She guessed not- the aliens did use the bathroom too- though- WHAT they actually did while here was anyone’s guess. She sensed familiar pressures and needs… and.. yeah- she guessed she needed to go.

Positioning herself was actually hard. Gravity didn’t really care to keep her on the seat, and if she acted too tense she feared whatever made her float might make her shoot up in the air like a rocket- that would have been.. really bad for all concerned. She managed to stay calm and breathed slowly… at least gravity worked as normal when things left her body- again if things left her still defying the laws of physics she was going to have a ‘bad time’. Relief flooded her that at least some things were constant in this form… basically.. human.

A quick wash and shower was in order. Again she took her time… It was strange not to even feel the cold bathtub underneath her feet as she showered. The water dripped from her toes to the half a foot drop to the ground… she had a good look at her breasts again- they seemed to be just… in the way? Constantly showing themselves in the way they stuck out displaying her new gender to the world… as if inviting others despite her wanting to just hide away.

The feeling of water on her antennas was a bit strange. Tingly even. When she looked at her body and her hair though, the way the water seem to run off her it was like her skin was made of Teflon. She stared at the drips that seemed to struggle to make any contact with her. A quick rinse and it seemed like her shower was over.

“Is this really me...” she said looking to her reflection as she stared back. What was she going to do! What could she do? She was shaking now… she tried to somehow get back to her old routine- she had to get dressed now.

Leaving the bathroom she headed back to her room.. Layka brushed past her to use the bathroom next. <Thanks big sis!> she said with a wave.

Scott gave a.. little wave back. She was kind of cute- though- her thoughts dimmed again as she thought of her life. This life.. a morbid part of her wondered if this meant Scott was technically dead. His body was gone.. this girl was here… she was just haunting this flesh, no better then a ghost-

‘No- come on! That’s not true!’ She was still the same person damn it! She wasn’t ‘made’ into anything. She was just feeling angry. She got back to looking for her clothes. Sure enough they were packed in drawers with a few… extra items likely left by her mother.

Scott quietly tried to dress her body. It was.. harder then she ever imagined it could be. Pants were easy.. or rather.. panties. Cut to fit a general female form they were ordinary but.. damn it- they were freakin’ panties! How could one not think of that! Still… she slid them on, slightly grimacing at how.. how well they fit.

She had looked at her various T-shirts… jeans… nothing fit her. She was feeling so angry with herself. Why had she not been more careful? The signs were all there that ‘something’ was up with this ceremony… but… she just didn’t see it. She looked at the bra biting her lip. The article of clothing swayed between her hands… innocent and pretty normal- yet- was it innocent! ‘they are just clothes.. just clothes...’

She realized given her discomfort she probably would need them. If only because her constant floating motions made them go all over the place. She didn’t want that to be seen! She placed them under her bust.. trying her best to figure it out-

<Would you like some help?> A voice suddenly spoke out.

Scott gasped and pulled her hands to cover her modesty. <Zomu?!>

She looked blankly at her sister, wondering what the big deal was. <Would you like some help?> she asked again, sipping a cup of coffee. She set it down on the bedside looking over her big sister. With a burst of speed she came closer, darting like a dolphin. <Hm.. is something wrong?>

<You’re- uh- I mean I- I’m- I’m changing->

<Oh.. is that a human thing to change alone?> She mentally shrugged. <I just thought you could use some help.>

Scott glanced at the bra. <I… I guess...>

Zomu brightened at that, with a slight raising of her eyebrows. Her eyes drawing more light as she brought the bra up to her sister’s torso. <Millions of years of technological progress.. but for some reason this design still worked out for us too.>

It felt so tight- but soon it was on. Snug.. she glanced down at herself somewhat glad she wasn’t having them move about like before. She took another breath. Zomu was already looking at her wardrobe. <So… something bright would match your hair. Shades of white would suit you. Perhaps even yellow?> Zomu was getting more and more energetic with each passing of a second. The pile of clothes on Scott’s bed getting bigger and bigger, with more daring items being found in the tiniest nook and corners- where the heck did any of those come from!

Zomu then picked out two. <Pants or Dress?>

Scott stared. <Pants!> She clutched her hands into a fist. <I’m floating damn it- I can’t let people see my underwear!>

Zomu… gave an awkward little grin. <Pants it is… but your jeans are awfully heavy. Not the best material to fly in. Mom got you some fitting jeans here though, I think she knew you would be reluctant to try something so radically different.>

<That’s fine- I don’t want to fly.>

Zomu looked confused at that. <I think you misunderstand. Flying is natural to us. If you wear clothes that are too heavy, you will… suffer fatigue.> She then took out a small white vest. <This is light enough to work with your jeans, perhaps if you do not wear stockings. Oh- or shoes.>

Scott looked at the vest. It would show her arms.. and most of her stomach exposing her belly button. Is that why they seemed to wear.. less? Crap! Scott would rather take her chances wearing ‘heavier’ clothes then be some freaky girl wearing girly clothes! <I’ll be fine with my old clothes.>

<Well… maybe for a while I guess,> Zomu thought. <It depends on a lot of things. Some of us can carry a lot.. other’s can’t do it so well.>

Scott proceeded to dress in her old T-shirt and new jeans. Her bra.. underneath giving shape to the whole thing. She felt a weird sensation as she seemed to fall closer to the earth. Still somewhat springy in her step but… yeah she could handle this. Though the T-shirt felt… snug.

<You seem to be doing fine,> Zomu nodded. <I would suggest at least avoiding the shoes.>

<I need shoes,> Scott replied.

<Hm.. perhaps some slippers will work then...>

<I’m not going to school in my slippers!>

Zomu rubbed her nose in a somewhat strange pose. <Oh- I’m going to be late for my College. I guess you’ll figure out the rest then...> She twirled away giving Scott back her privacy.

Scott sighed. She didn’t actually have any shoes that fit her… not to mention she noticed how her butt was sticking out with her jeans- what was she going to do!

<Scooooott!> Layka called out from downstairs. <Mom says to hurry up or you’ll be late for school!>

School? As this? Like this?! The panic of it.. of seeing this body dressed up and how people would react to her came down on her like a ton of bricks. She half ran half floated down the stairs. <Mom? About school- I can’t! It’s too soon- I only just became this! I need time. I need.. I need to figure this out.>

Lalaxi looked to Scott calmly. <Are you unwell?> She asked simply.

Scott gave ‘a look’ while her mother just gave a look back. <I- well- no…> Scott stammered. By the technical definition of being unwell she wasn’t exactly. In fact she had never felt more healthy even if she was floating around like a goldfish.

Lalaxi however did give Scott a gentle smile in return to her honesty. <Scott, I won’t.. force you to go to school if you don’t feel comfortable. However… I dare say, you need to face this at some point- however as your mother I am obligated to ensure that my children do go to school… if you prefer, we can send you to a school in the ship instead- or perhaps we can find an alternative school for you on Earth?>

Scott gasped at yet the possibility of yet another change in her life. A school- on the ship?! With other aliens? Alien girls? Or alien boys too? That idea terrified her even more. The prospect of going to another school though on Earth was… maybe possible? She did like her school though… plus what about all the work she had done up to now? What about her friends? No.. she didn’t want to leave...

<I guess… I’ll… I’ll go to my normal school.> She said quietly.

Lalaxi nodded. <I know you’re nervous… but your sisters will help you if you have any problems. Besides you are very capable Scott. I would not have made you my daughter if I didn’t think you could handle it> She smiled again as she provided what passed as breakfast.

Mushrooms with cheese, grated with some kind of potato-like tuber? Only it was… purple. However Scott seemed to find herself enjoying the scent.. she floated to the table taking a portion of it. Her alien body seemed to enjoy it a lot more then her human one when she tried such things…

<Go on Scott, just give me a call if you have any trouble. Oh yes- you’ll need this.>

Her mother then proceeded to give her some kind of strange gemstone. It was an azure blue with vibrant eye catching colors. She looked at it in confusion. <What is it?>

<The word might sound a bit strange to you. Think of it as a phone. I have had to block it to only within this solar system mind- so please don’t wonder too far. Just place it near your antenna’s and we’ll be in touch. It’s called a Solawa. Try not to lose it please. They are expensive.>

Scott was suddenly given another hug.

This was… this was it then…

There was nothing left but to face what school might bring as this… as this new girl
