While Chris slept, he began to change subtly. His body became a little slenderer, his shoulders narrowing a bit and his hips broadening a little. His arms and legs also became a little slimmer, and his skin a bit softer and smoother. His face softened a little more noticeably, and his hair changed from dirty blond to a rich gold color, growing down to the small of his back. Finally, a much more significant change took place, as his privates sank into his body and re-formed as those of a young girl.
After this, a second wave of changes began. This one was shorter but more elaborate, as a halo of soft golden light formed above her head, while twin structures of skin and bone sprouted from her back, growing out and becoming covered in pure white feathers, stretching her pajama shirt uncomfortably until it finally tore apart. The pressure eased and her wings complete, the newly-minted angel-girl snuggled back into her bed, still sound asleep.
Meanwhile, over at Kevin's house, similar changes had been taking place. Kevin too had become a girl, though her hair had stayed its original brown and had only grown down to her shoulders. Her second wave kicked off with two antennae sprouting from her forehead, growing until they were around eight inches long. They were soft and fleshy, covered in brownish-orange skin; at the end of each was a small knob-shaped sensory organ of some kind.
Once this had finished, the real change began. Kevin, still unconscious, drew her legs together. Starting from just below the pelvis, the skin on her lower body began to change. Around most of her circumference, it became the same soft orange skin as on her antennae, but in a strip running down her front it was an even softer translucent white. Around the border area there formed a fringe of loose skin, the same translucent white.
While the skin was altering, Kevin's lower body was changing. The skin on her legs had begun to grow together, covering her entire lower body in one unbroken surface. Underneath this new covering, her legs themselves were changing; the bones were dissolving away, leaving nothing below her pelvis but flesh. The musculature of this new lower body began to form, the individual leg muscles merging into one muscle mass, with individual little undulations forming underneath the translucent strip.
And then her changes were complete. As Kevin the slug-girl slept the skin on her new lower body began to secrete a thin coating of protective mucus, which helped her retain moisture, but would make for something of an unpleasant surprise in the morning (on top of the one she would already be dealing with, anyway.)
