Jon sighed and found a pair of swimming goggles, doing what Karyn said and making them into ability blocking glasses.

Now, just keep those on and we'll meet at lunch or something for our next idea. Weirdly, Karyn seemed to have done an emotional 180. Jon suspected she wasn't even actually upset earlier and was just anxious to talk about the stone -- or maybe she was, like him, just looking for anything else to feel except afraid.

---‐---------------------------

Sadly, Jon's wish being over the phone allowed the magic effects to be broadcast using the various cellular apparati and infrastructure. The stone was still at work normalizing his ability wish, and this new wish being broadcast had just given it a new vector to spread.

Sarah was sitting at her vanity, about 4 minutes into a one sided cell phone conversation not so kindly trying to get Tiffany to stop moving in on Steve and Biff.

I already said sorry or whatever, what else do you want?

Sarah groaned. She was normally very good at getting people to do what she wanted, but with Tiffany it was like talking to a brick wall. Tiffany was orignally just supposed to annoy them so they'd run to her and Melissa and appreciate them both more. She'd even explicitly told Tiffany this, when anyone else would have enough social skills to get the message without that. And still, all Tiffany succeeded in was getting Biff and Steve competing on who could cheat on them with her first. It was all Sarah could do to not scream.

Before she could reply, the stone's magic spread through their phone services and ironically deleted both their phones from reality.

Nevertheless, Sarah kept talking, more than ever actually. She told Tiffany exactly what to do and how to act, she told Melissa that braiding her hair like that was stupid, she told Karyn to keep flattering Jon until she could bring her the stone. She was talking so much and so fast, it stopped being words.

Tiffany looked confused, a typical emotion for her, before her head entirely disappeared. Her revealing, school code ambivalent clothes remained, but the rest of her form became a rubbery substance, but still very capable of ruining relationships inadvertantly.

Back in Sarah's room, the reverse was happening. As her constant subliminal instructions to her former contact list continued, her head began to grow to consume her body and clothing, expanding first to the size of a large TV, then to a size too big to fit through a standard door. Her bedroom door became wider as she continued talking to seemingly no one, elated at the control it, as Psi-Rho, exerted over its lessers.
