"So you said Joanna is always bringing guys home... that means she's not tied down, right?" The blinding flash again subsided and Adam was back in his work clothes, completely normal. He went and grabbed two beers from Jeff's fridge.
"What?" Jeff asked, not really hearing what Adam said but trying to process everything he'd just seen.
"Your neighbor. Sounds like she's not in any serious relationship, so maybe I should go ask her out. If you're too chicken shit to do anything."
"Hang on. Didn't you notice what just happened?"
"What do you mean, that stupid hunk of plastic the R&D; guys sent over?"
"I think there's something more to it..."
"Bro, don't kid yourself. You and I both know how cool it would be to see all the weird secret shit they're working on. But there's no way they'd let something that actually did something out of their sights. It's probably a prank. I bet that asshole Randy sent it over he-"
Jeff pulled the trigger again, out of sheer curiosity. Adam was back in the bikini, looking slightly less pissed off.
"You seriously don't notice anything different?"
Adam sighed. "No, I guess you always do shit like this. Mothers warn girls like me about guys like you. Whatever. We'll go to the beach some other time." He stepped closer to Jeff, walking easily in the four-inch wedges, and wrapped an arm around his waist. "You said these walls were thin. Maybe we can give Joanna a taste of her own medicine..." Adam pulled his body against Jeff's and slowly brought his red lips closer.
Jeff, revulsed, pushed his friend back and quickly zapped him again. He was back to normal, standing in the kitchen.
"Come on, let's go play Call of Duty or something. I'll frag your ass!" He walked past Jeff into the living room. Adam stood there, looking at his "toy." Was that all it did? Turn his friend into his bikini clad "girlfriend"? What would happen if he zapped somebody else?
