David tried hard to keep his eyes on the road, and off his transformed brother in the passengers seat. The tanned, toned legs sticking out of the short skirt, and the (possibly surgically enhanced) breasts straining her tight polo shirt were enough of a distraction, but there was enough else to see as he drove his old beater of a car through town.

Every other car, except his own, now seemed to be some expensive luxury model. Jaguars, Mercedes, BMWs, Audis and more filled the streets and driveways. And every one of the townspeople, it appeared, had changed just like his family. They passed Mr. Lewis, their neighbor across the street. Andy waggled his fingers to wave, not flinching that the black man's head was sitting atop a white woman's body, strutting down the street in a flowery blue sundress and wedge sandals with a tiny toy poodle on a diamond-studded leash. He gave a girlish wave back.

"I'm still not sure what I'm going to wear tonight," Andy babbled, "Maybe the little black cocktail dress, with the red Valentinos. Would a sequined clutch be too flashy for charity?"

David just shrugged. Further down the street, 8 year old Billy Miller was jogging, his much more mature body clad in only spandex shorts and a yellow sports bra. The entire neighborhood had changed. Homes and yards larger and nicer. Like some high-end gated community.

"Sorry dude," Andy continued, "I know that stuff's not up your alley." Just like earlier with his family, it seemed like David was getting a glimpse of his original personality. He wondered if that was a deliberate part of Gilmore's programming, or some sort of glitch. Maybe he could use it to his advantage.

"It's alright, bro." David said, "Say, you want to play X-Box after this tennis thing?"

Andy looked thoughtful for a moment, before chuckling.

"You're adorable. Sorry darling, Ben and I are getting our nails done after this, then I have to pick up my Beemer. You really should come to the gala tonight. I'm sure you'd look absolutely dashing in a suit."

David sighed. "Maybe," he said, just to humor Andy. They finally pulled up to the neighborhood tennis courts. He saw Andy's best friend Ben standing there in his own tennis skirt and tank top. The two usually hid in the basement playing video games, obviously they shared some new activities.

"Thanks so much. You're the sweetest," Andy said as he hopped out of the car. Instead of a fist-bump or casual nod, Andy and Ben greeted one another with a hug and quick kiss on each cheek. David waved goodbye to his brother and chugged away in his car.

As David made his way through the neighborhood, he looked up at the hills in the distance. Though he'd promised to pick up his father's dry cleaning, he had other ideas in mind. It was now or never, he thought. For some reason, he hadn't changed into a prissy housewife like everyone else. This was his chance to get up to Gilmore. He made his way into the hills, not quite sure what he was going to do once he got to Applied Metadynamics.
