"Laura?" Margaret asked, when she spotted her walking quickly through the hall carrying a small box. "What are you doing here? I thought you were heading home."
"I did," Laura said. "But I had to come back. I ... I have a problem."
"What kind of problem?"
"Actually, it's kind of related to how I've been acting all day."
"I thought you said nothing was wrong," Margaret said, reminding her.
"I know. And at the time, I didn't think there was anything wrong."
"Well, how can I help?" Margaret asked.
"Actually, I was looking for your husband. I think he's the only one who can help me."
"Oh? And why is that?" Margaret asked, getting a little defensive. "Does it have anything to do with what's in that box?"
Laura looked down at it and suddenly seemed uneasy ... and Margaret noticed.
"What's in there?" she asked Laura.
"You really don't want to know."
