Two of the workers approached him, and he thought for a moment they were going to try to stop him, but they went for his mom. One held her, while the other removed her nightgown and packed them up with the rest of the clothes, leaving her lying on the stripped bed completely naked.
He wasn't sure what to do. He didn't see any way to stop them. He even tried calling 911, but the line wouldn't connect.
Finally, they wrapped a barcode bracelet around his Mom's wrist, and took her away as well. Then they began loading the room up, unpacking new boxes....clothes, sheets...as if someone different lived there...staging it as if it was a movie set.
And, in a last touch, they brought in the new 'star'. He was surprised to see Sarah McMillan...naked, being brought in. Her hairstyle had been changed, shorter. They dressed her in a nightgown, removed a similar bracelet from her wrist, and placed her in the bed. Then they left the house.
He headed back to his room. Nothing seemed to be working stilll...clocks, phones...He nodded off while trying to figure out what to do.
The next thing he knew, his alarm was going off...It was 7AM.
Jon stayed in bed for a moment, wondering if it had all been a dream. He remembered one of the strange men in his house taking away his mother...That was silly, right?
