As I heard him say that, I smiled. He saw me and asked what made me so happy. I said "I have already won. I wasn't sure about it until you told me just now. You cannot win anymore." He frowned and said "What're you talking about? I'm stronger and better than you. I'll win because I'm righteous!" "Okay. I'll tell you why. I lied the first time we met at the shrine. They were in the shrine grounds. I had them claim sanctuary because they are of the faith and paladins. You can't even get to them without harshly imposing on a religious monument. Killing them would be the same as declaring a big war on the Church of the Seven Roses. I and the other Players that spent so much of our time building it won't stop until a crusade is called. Then we will fight until Pollo Island will be destroyed and Limerick Jill, your master is taken down from her Sage position." I explained. Trois looked horrified. "There's no way! They will... give up the traitors to me if I ask. I'm a Protector and a strong hero." he said slowly. Obviously, he did not know what was dealing with. I wondered if all 3 of them were really this naive.
Being this sheltered must have been part of Limerick Jill's design. "Daniel was a Theives' Guild member born on Pollo Island, but he became a paladin. We buried him in the city we bought citizenship after going into exile. After his death, his burial caused a Holy War because we gave him a full parade and honors- even with all the crimes we did towards a temple of another faith." Trois looked shocked. "Daniel was a thief and a traitor. Why would any rational person venerate him?" he demanded. "Go over to Deerhome. Look at the crypt. Ask the people there about Sir Daniel and his funeral." He got up and said "Fine. We can go there and figure out the legacy of that traitor and his misdeeds. If it really is as you say, then we might need to go to war with them after all. If they are evil enough to tolerate evil among them, I won't shed a tear if we went to war over killing my targets." I shrugged. "Fine, but will your master agree? She can't be too popular after all the destruction she reigned over. To get into a full conflict with the other Sages might finally sink her." That gave Trois some serious pause.
Conflict was not in their best interests at all. Trois said "I won't allow that to happen." I sighed and said "You know why I can't go to the shrine. Cocoa will kill me unless a strong Protector like you are there to keep me from him. If you can't beat all 4 of the guardians, you won't win. If you can't win, and winning will cause a massive war, you are screwed." He shook his head like a petulant child. "Un and I will take them down and execute the traitors on the island." he snapped. I rolled my eyes. "I'm not the one stopping you here. Go to the grand shrine and fight them. Just don't cry to me when they kill you." I said. He picked me up and tossed me over his shoulder. "I'll take you to the shrine and make you watch as I kill all your friends." he threatened coldly. I was not concerned in the slightest. He then took me away. Since he was so strong and powerful, he was able to carry me without needing to take a single break. Even when I tried to wiggle out of his grip, it was not enough to even make him budge. We made good time and we eventually met Un in Sacrilmon. He had the same outfit as Trois.
