When Jon left the salon, it was on autopilot. He walked out of there without a glance back. His long hair pulled his head up and forced his back straight as he walked. He didn't even realize the slight swish to his hips as he strolled back through the mall.

It took him nearly the entire walk to the food court to realize he had left the salon, looking as he did. He had even said and brushed his hair out of the way before he felt fully in control of his body.

"What?" He whispered to himself. Outside of the mirror in the salon, he had no idea how he looked. Things felt bigger though, not a lot, but was that just his mind playing tricks on him. He looked down at his hands, and they looked a little thinner, right? He wasn't just making that up. They did something to him. They must have ch-

"Hey Jonnie." He turned toward the voice to see Karyn walked toward him in heels with a large bag in her hand. "Done the salon already?"

"Yeah," he let the words drag out, brush an errant hair out of his face and over his ear. He looked up at her, and thought about she looked bigger than she was before, but that was impossible. "How...do I look different?"

"What do you mean?" Karyn asked as she placed her bag on the floor and then sat in the chair next to him. She took her hand in his, and for a moment, he thought his hand was supposed to be bigger. But it didn't feel bigger, it felt smaller. "You look great. Did they lighten your hair?" He reached up with his free hand and his fingers brushed along the top of his head. His finger nails felt longer too, and looking at them, they were longer.

"Yeah, I think so," Jon started as he stared at his nails. He needed to leave the mall and get his stone back to figure out what happened to him, and how. How did they manage this? He wasn't supposed to be like this right? "All done shopping?"

"For now," Karyn said with a wide smile, "but now we need to get you some new jeans. Its why we cam here in the first place."

"What?" Jon asked. "No, I'm good. I'm actually kind of tired. Think I nearly fell asleep in the chair." Karyn looked him over, as if to gauge his words.

Karyn shook her head and smirked at him, "I know you hate shopping, almost as much as you hate getting your hair cut, but really Jonnie, I can find you something that isn't too awful."

Jon held back a groan - and "Jonnie"? She never called him that - before saying, "fine, but one hour. I feel like I need a nap."

"One hour is enough," Karyn said, standing up and tugging him along with her. "But you have to promise me we'll come back next week and get the rest of your stuff."

"What stuff?" Jon asked, but she had already started walked away, pulling him with her.

Wasn't he stronger than her?
