She dropped her keys, and bent down to pick them up. On the way back up, she nearly bumped into someone. She looked up, intending to apologize and gasped. It was Susan McMillan. How embarrassing. Susan was not only one of the most well-known and wealthy women in Lake Grove, her particular suburban town, but she was also a model...and looked it too. Probably in for a day of photo shoots.
Susan actually did know who Linda was as well. She looked at her with some distaste. Suddenly, both Susan and Linda became dizzy. When their heads cleared, Linda looked at Susan, fumbling about with her keys.
Linda smiled, a feeling of superiority and satisfaction growing within her. Susan looked...well, old and tired. She wondered how anyone could live that way. They were almost the same age, and Susan looked like an old woman. She wondered how she could work that into the conversation.
Susan, meanwhile, was embarrassed, and hoping to get the conversation over with so she could get home.
