Janice had the hardest time getting Taylor out of bed in the morning. The girl seemed to enjoy being lazy. She didn't know what to do about it.
After she and Taylor ate, she loaded the girl into her car. She was happy Taylor had met a new friend from across the street, although she knew high school wouldn't be easy. Taylor was an attractive young girl, but she was a bit like a scarecrow, and was certainly a bit of a tomboy. She knew how cruel high school students could be.
Janice parked in front of the school and headed inside, wondering why the school felt so familiar. Perhaps all high schools looked and felt the same. She headed to the office. They seemed to already have her paperwork, and the process was a breeze.
With a schedule in hand, she left Taylor to go to her classes, after pulling the earbuds out of her ears for the tenth time that morning.

Athena was walking down the hall when she saw someone who looked like Zoe. She'd been incredibly worried about Zoe since she disappeared. "Zoe?" She called. Had they brainwashed her into dressing like an average kid. What sick fucks were there down there?
She ran after the figure, and grabbed her, turning her around. "What's your problem?" The girl asked. She could have been Zoe's sister, if she had one.
"Sorry...you look a lot like my friend," she said. "Too much like her."
"Well, sorry," the girl said. "I'm new here. What's with you? Halloween early this year?"
Athena glared at her. "I like dressing this way, instead of like everyone else."
"I'm Taylor."
"Athena."
"Seriously? Your real name is Athena?"
"You want to see my ID?" Athena challenged.
"No," Taylor responded. "I have to get to my class. My mom would kill me if I'm late." She fiddled with a schedule.
Athena looked at her, curiously. "I'll show you the way." She needed to know more about this girl. Her aura seemed off.
