Tom wondered how lucky one person could get. Here he was sitting a History lesson the subject he hated above all others. Dressed in his sisters’ spare uniform backpack include on a Monday morning all because of a stupid argument he had got into two days before. He couldn’t even remember who started it. It must have been his sister she was always getting him in to trouble.

It had been almost three hours since he had arrived at school that morning and no-one had noticed he wasn’t a girl. He knew he didn’t look like a girl. Then he remembered the girls on the bus and they makeover they had given him.

They must have known that he was a boy at that point. Come to think of it why hadn’t he washed of the makeup that they had put on his face. He knew the answer to that. To wash his face, he would need to go to a bathroom, and he couldn’t go to the boy bathroom dressed as he was he would never live it down.

So that left only the girls’ bathroom which was out of the question going in there could get him kicked out of School. That was what happened to Bob. Bob had been found locked in the girls’ bathroom a few weeks ago and he had never been seen in the school again. Mind you neither had Joey. Joey had been the leader of a group of boys who were always picking on Joey.

No there was no way Tom was going to use the girls’ even if it meant that he had to walk around school for the rest of the day wearing makeup. Tom must have been sitting there for a few minutes before he noticed that the classroom was emptying. He had been so caught up in his thoughts that he had missed most of the lesson. Maybe things were starting to look up for him if the history class was finished. He picked up his no, his sister’s bag and walked out of the classroom with a smile on his face.

It was lunchtime after all.
