Jon had to act. The look on Sarah's face was enough to tell him that he might lose more then a tooth from her next attack. She looked like she was going to kill him. And why shouldn't she. They were enemies after all. So he took a chance. As she raised her big Bio book for the killing blow he dove past her. Then while she was forced to turn around he lay flat on the ground again and shoved his hand under the locker again to try one more time to recover the lost relationship die. Last time he tried he could almost reach it. Now with Sarah about to bludgeon him to death he hoped he could actually grab it.
He couldn't quite reach it though he found to his great exasperation. His wrists were just too thick. He could however flick it with his finger and seeing as he had no other option he did just that as Sarah raised her book for the coup de grace.
The delightful sound of the die rolling was music to Jon's ears. Still bracing for Sarah's blow he closed his eyes though. Then he felt reality change itself again as a result of him flicking the die and when he opened his eyes he saw...
