I see you've been posting quite a bit in the past few months. That's really cool. I'll share a bit about this community. It's pretty old, literally being founded the summer of 2000. There's some really brilliant writers on here, and every now and then we strike a great synergy and start collaborating on bigger projects. Compared to other sites, the view to feedback ratio is really good, but as I'm sure you see, we don't get as many regular viewers.

Some things that might help you get more feedback is to collaborate with other authors on more recent branches. Give feedback of your own, but stay positive and bounce ideas around. People write for fun, not as a second job.

It seems like a lot of your posts are on chapters that are a decade old or older. Try adding few chapters to other peoples branches.

I can understand how it could be frustrating to feel like you're posting into a void, but if you're just looking for as many views as possible, this probably isn't the best site.

As for "upvoting" our own stuff. XD We all had a big chat about that a while ago when Phoenix updated the rating system. If we feel like we posted a banger, yeah, we'll upvote our own stuff as a self pat on the back, but we're not really a "like" driven community. Of course it's nice when we get feedback, but most of us write because we love it, plain and simple.

Sorry you don't like it. I know this is easily the most kink or even offputting story I've written in a while. It's not a friendly drama or slice of life like stuff I've tried to write in the past.

Haha. Yeah. That was the goal. I definitely borrowed a bit from the pulpy side of the metal scene. In the original concept, he was going to be summoned by a metal head, rather than a nerd. I thought the nerd gave more creative kink opportunities, while the metal head would just be more sexual.

I'm not sure if I'm going to continue down this Branch I think I just had to get it out of my head we'll see. Part of me wants to just delete this.

I personally don't like the fact that they don't remember their former lives, but this is a brilliant concept with a lot of potential!

Hi ilii01. If you go to the home page of the site, and click in "Discord chat" in the sidebar menu, you will receive an invite to our discord server. In this server there is a "web comics and art" channel where you can share some images.

There's no hard rule against sharing files, but since I haven't seen any prior community engagement from your account, and the fact that the file you shared was a corrupted .zip file, these things sent up yellow flags that I thought would be best to address. Once we come to know you better, I don't see why you couldn't share larger file archives you find interesting. :)

I imagine less a magic wishing Stone MacGuffin and more... A magic freight train off the rails.

Just because he has the power and he's compelled to use it doesn't mean he knows how to use it. :3

I'm glad you like it, I was actually inspired by this one particular line from your origin chapter.

"I'm afraid as much as I'd like to make it easy for you and give you something mildly pedestrian, that would only make you a weaker familiar,"

This sort of forced me to start thinking outside the box and imagine things like this or perhaps a bakeneko or other powerful mythological creature. (That's also cute)

I don't really have the plan beyond the initial few chapters but I did want to include a couple of things to make it interesting if anybody else wanted to continue, like the booming mystery voice.

I think broom said it very well. Read what you enjoy. Don't read what you don't enjoy. For my part I don't even look at the number of upvotes before skimming something, the upvote has always seemed to be more of a passive encouragement for the author rather than a mark of what's good or bad.

Always a bit finicky to write something that is genuinely mean, because even if it's just directed at the characters, it can still be hurtful. Regardless, I'm fairly happy with this chapter.
Thinking back on the story, I think it would have been a cool idea to keep the anger and tension between Zoe and Karyn until this moment. But it's still fine that that had already started to make up by this point.

Pretty much. :) Just more of a passive force instead of an irrevocable personality change.

Mostly it was a way to purge the thumbwars bet cleanly, so the reader wouldn't have to keep up with an ever complicating web of bets and conditions. That said... Minor spoiler alert, I think that any compulsions from the bets are cleared up too. They don't actually have to live the lives given to them by bets anymore... They just think they do, and they're being carried by the momentum of what's already changed. So for example, Zoe didn't have to bet to change her eating habits, and Jon didn't have to bet to remove the corset at home. Those aspects of their lives weren't enforced by bets anymore, they were just normal habits and personality traits. I think they'll start figuring it out in the subsequent chapters. There's a few story beats I want to hit on, but hopefully things will pick up a bit now. I think everything is in place for me to take the overall story where I want it to go, I just have to figure out a few things to catalyze that outcome.

I think I'm a little over halfway done at this point.

Not sure if I want to go this route, but going to charge forward for now.

I don't recall if I included this in the earlier chapters or not, but in my mind Zoe was increasingly desperate to change back into "normal" Zoe from goth because she was reaching the point that she didn't want to turn back. When she was teasing Jon it was meant to be a self revealing taunt, and now that Jon is goth Zoe he would have to deal with that pressure.

"Jon was the boy who wished this game into existence, and Emily is the main character of this game. It doesn't matter if one became the other, they are not considered the same as long as Emily is part of the game."

I guess that explains why the wish confirmation didn't work. ;)

This is an incredible branch. I can't believe I haven't found it before. I'm going to read the whole thing through as soon as I get a bit of time.

I'll actually take a look at a couple of these this evening. For me one of the primary things that motivates me is whether or not people are interested in a storyline.

I was thinking a great direction to go would be for the stone to have JUST enough power to send them back in time to the time and place of the incident, and give them the chance to stop it. Naturally the stone would be totally burnt out, giving half way wishes on the fumes of magic after such a feat. (And Jon and Karyn would have to assume the form of the world they travel to.) Maybe the stone can still give them just enough wishes for a final few TF's necessary to carry out their mission.

Eager to see where you go from here. :) I feel like the chapter where Jon finally becomes Sue is going to require your touch, but if you have any ideas for a final intermediate chapter, I might write that.

Thanks. tbh. I have nothing planned. I had a mental image of a particular small town I'd passed through before, and I wanted to set the stage with some delinquent getting on the bad side of P&R.

So, if I understand, I would take a wish from any other branch here on FB (presumably linking the source of the wish), and grant it for the current holder of the stone in this branch?
Does this occur randomly, or does it perhaps wait for the current holder to make a wish before scooping up another wish from a different branch.
Definitely a recipe for chaos!

While I do like the chapter I posted, I don't think it's best suited for this branch. That chapter is actually something that's been on my mind for a while, but it's better suited elsewhere, I think.

I like that chapters you're creating here. They're a lot of fun, and really scratch a very specific itch. You do an amazing job at it, but if I can make a suggestion. In my experience, if I'm going to focus almost exclusively on the fetishistic aspect of a story, the story paints itself into a corner quickly. It's a good idea to make stories like that one offs. Get done, what you'd like to get done, and wrap up the story.

Alternatively. I've been playing with a few ideas to add some story depth. Not much. Maybe not nearly enough to make it a long story, but definitely a twist that gives you some interesting plot hooks if you'd like them.

I don't know if you want to use this element of the plot or not, but in this branch, Jon only remembers the stone as a faded dream, and the stones whereabouts are unknown. Perhaps the stone isn't really missing, but Jon isn't aware of it.

I don't have a grand vision for this one. Usually I plan out all the major beats of a story, and have a general emotion I want to capture. For this one, I just wanted to enjoy it as it devolved into chaos, to be ultimately resolved by some deus ex machina. The ending still doesn't quite put things right, but lets everyone be content and enjoy their new lives.

I'll email you some spoilers of some of my broader ideas, if you'd like, otherwise feel free to add whatever comes to your mind.

Really like the ideas behind this branch. Are you looking for collaboration, or is this a project you'd prefer to handle on your own?
