I'm surprised Zoey didn't make a wish after Ryder left that he couldn't enter the house uninvited, and that he couldn't touch the stone or make wishes on it, just in case he did witness Zoey making wishes. But, I guess that wouldn't make for as exciting a story.

First, I want you to know I LOVE this story, it's one of my favorites on here. I've lost count of the number of times I've read all the parts. I hope it gets continued.
Second, this episode reminds me of geeky dorky me back in high school. I had a severe crush on a gorgeous cheerleader. It took me two months to work up the nerve to ask her out, and when I finally did she responded by politely and quietly saying, "I can't." She didn't laugh, she didn't slam the phone down, and to the best of my knowledge, she never spread it around school. If you have to be turned down by someone, that seems the nicest way possible.
