Well, Storyflies are their own beings, think of like a more simple minded version of the characters they represent. Appeal to that being and they will give their power to you. You could appeal to a fly that has a character you have no connection to by putting on an act as well, however wether that works depends how well an actor you are. Honestly you could call this a "Theater's kid" Omnitrix haha.

Oh wow this was a pleasant surprise, really flattered you decided to try out my branch, and I see you're really taking it places already. Sam being this knowledge seeker but firmly set in reality, completely unaware of anything internet makes for a pretty interesting protagonist for something that relies on fiction. Also Rebecca expressing herself through a character that boosts not only her abilities but her confidence is a really interesting plot point, wonder how that will develop. Admittedly, I never intended for the Locket to give access to the character's personality as I envisioned the "play into the role" aspect would form part into the storyflies appeal system, but I can't deny the idea of "voluntary access to a character's personality" is mighty interesting into it what it could also put on the table as well.

Hmm wonder how this would bode for data storage.

Gotta say, surprisingly good use of the pun, never saw the "high" pun this wittily implemented. Then again, the fact that this were enforced and the way others bypass it is similar with drugs in our world. Altough it is distinct in the fact that is no so much addictive or harmful quimically as much as just life-changing. IRL drugs tend to result in these downward spirals of worsening of the ones addicted, while this, while you may get idk addicted to the rush, there's the threshold of full transformation that just leaves you with very benign consecuences considering the mentioned alternative. Altough i do guess the fact this could easily force large masses of people into an unwanted transformation, it makes sense to be a strict control on them. Either way, really interesting worldbuilding.

I'm seeing this is getting a lot of views, I was planning to make this longer and write up to a central event that would happen later as a whole entry. However, I feel like this more snappy segmentation of it works better for me personally. I have a lot of cool ideas for this kinda thread so I feel that whenever I write for FB it will focus on this one. Thanks, I had this idea for almost a year, it's kinda intended to be a more lighthearted almost slice of life-ish thing. Not to say this couldn't be taken to any other legths, just well, kinda wanted to push towards a more, considerate protagonist with this one. More a wholesome "flight of fancy" than a "power fantasy" if that makes sense. Anyways I don't think I am continuing this anytime soon so anyone is welcome to write their iwn stuff from here.

I see, well that line wasn't really talking about a form of a powerful entity more so that in relation of a previous line "my dream familiar". Of course the whole initial chapter was meant to be vague enough that you could twist the narrative a generous amount without creating plotholes. However, I was thinking when thinking of the "familiar character creation system" as it were, is that the less true to her desires the witch is when choosing or designing a form, the less power the familiar has. Tried to kill two birds with one stone you see, a way to lure Jim to accept to let her choose and a way to tell future branch writers to "go nuts". But yeah considering he turned to a djinn I can see Little Ina playing a lot of The lamp of Aladin games as kid, but yeah I do like this direction, assuming he works like a djinn does, Sabrina might have gotten her own living equivalent of this site's infamous "magic stone" ;)

I've spent a lot of focus on the relation of these two dorks so I'm really happy how you wrote them here. Also, a Djinn, unexpected, was expecting more animal based forms but I like it, a lot actually, specially since this would make an extremely powerful familiar bound to a really unexperienced witch. This definetly made my day today, I'll be looking forward to how this branch develops. :)

Speaking of AI, I've tried many AIs, Novel AI is good, but it limits you to a number of tokens per account, personally I really like Dreamily AI, It's nearly as powerful and appears to be completely free with no token limitations thus far.

Must say, haven't been this much in bested in one of these since my first read here, that being Iridescent Sun. There's a good premise and a bit of mistery even. Also I like what you did with the exposition part between Larry and Shirley, many get caught on the show don't tell axiom to realize that banter is not only a natural way to expose, but also build character. I also adore Koto, I'm gonna stop reading for today so I don't know how he turns out, but I love the sheer sentient experiment laerning of our world aesthetic he has. Kinda reminds me of Imperfect Cell from Dbz, but instead of absorbing people he transforms them to achieve a Perfect world so to speak.

Hello there, I'm the author of this little snippet. It's actually my first contribution to this site, so feedback is appreciated. I doubt for now I will continue the storyline myself, this was designed to function as a starting branch, so feel free to concoct your own familiar forms and scenarios. This was inspired a bit by https://tfgames.site/index.php?module=viewgame&id=927 Witch's Familiar and had in mind some speech pattern change along with the other more physical ones, again not a limitation just thought I'd mentioned, that would be all, thank you for your attention.

I'll say doctor, you have a very interesting writing style. Honestly I'm not sure how you keep up with the dialogue having to be written like this consistently.

Ok this adds a much appreciated depth to Terry's character, Also, could the motive of this flashback be Terry turning into a demon himself and being more vulnerable to dark emotions?

It is nice seeing you writing again, this must likely be what you told me you were working on. I must say, even though Terry can be a bit on the cliché type on his disdain for the other world, you have really outdone yourself in the writing department. There's a really nice sense of flow that really enhances the intricancies of this new setting as they're shown off. I also see a lot of focus on a duality between magic and electricity, as each the main element of each world. In short, I'm really looking forward to what is to come from this new plotline, I'll be on the lookout for any new chapters.

Honestly, having read this whole story from the start and up to now recently, I cannot put into words how special this feels to me. Change in general, the feeling of one's self drifting to something else in real life, is still a sobering thought. And to think that a Furry(non derogatory) 900+ pages collective effort that branched from a CYOA was able to express that and endear me so much to these characters is a first for me to say the least. Realising as a teen that I was interested in the prospect of feeling the experience of being of another anatomy was called a kink(little after discovering i had such interest in the first place) and not in the most socially endearing terms lead me to believe there could be little more to the idea. Over time it just became that, from idea to kink, I never scratched that itch I wanted from the start until i found this fascinating world. Thank you.
