"Aunt Sharon, to do this transformation I need a nursing bra."
"What?" asked his aunt. "I do have one, but...."
His parents hadn't tried to interfere much so far, but finally his mother said, "Scott, I want you to tell us what you're planning. You're a teenager. You can't have a baby, even if the baby is just like you. You can't walk around as me. What are you going to do when you go back to school this fall? What are you going to tell people? So far we haven't said anything because there isn't anything you can do to make it worse, but you need to think about it."
"Mom, Dad, Aunt Sharon, I'm going to change back to myself. But there might be times when I need to become a girl again. I can use the nursing bra to become a girl version of me. Nobody's familiar with me as a girl and I could walk around without people thinking I'm Mom."
"Are you sure that will work?" asked Susan.
"It said it in the instructions," replied Scott.
"You'll still have a baby," said his mother.
"That is a problem," replied Scott. He knew better than to just tell his parents to care for it when he was at school, but that might be what would end up happening. His father did work at home, and his mother was one of those now-rare stay at home housewives.
Scott got up and went into his room to get a change of clothes. He was worried that it might not work, but the sensation of transformation swept over his body and he was soon Scott again. Returning into the living room as himself, he sat down, watching the sleeping baby.
Scott's mother had her jacket on and was preparing to leave. "I have to go to the store anyway. I'll see if they have nursing bras."
An hour later, the baby was awake again and Scott's mother had returned with the nursing bra and some formula and diapers. The rest of the day was an occasion for lots of lectures from Scott's parents, as well as forcible introduction to the idea of burping babies and changing their diapers.
The next morning, the medallion's 12 hours had expired, and Scott got out the nursing bra. It was time for the second half of the plan....
