Once she erased the sentence she had written, Jon's hair immediately returned to normal.
As Karyn was learning more and more about the bracelet she wore, ideas were forming in her head. She could have anything she wanted. The universe was putty in her hands, at least for the next week. But she didn't want to go overboard with her new power.
"I think this could be fun," she said to Jon.
"What do you mean? That bracelet isn't even doing anything."
Oh yeah, Karyn remembered, Jon didn't notice any changes. Well, maybe she could fix that later. For now, her ideas were fixed on other things she wanted to try.
"Jon, you and I are at my house," she said. Immediately, Karyn found that they were in her living room. Well, at least that worked. Now to business...
Karyn had always wanted to meet famous people. But, she figured, in this town the chances of meeting anybody notable were pretty slim, and she had no intention of leaving just yet. But now she had a chance to surround herself with fame, and the people of this town would be her means of doing so. She could make them into anybody, living or dead. And they'd be indistinguishable from the real people, as long as she said things right. And her first subject would be Jon. He was right there. Why not? She could always change him back later, she figured.
"So what are you gonna do Karyn?" Jon asked, snapping her out of her daydream.
"Oh, don't worry Jon. You'll be fine. In fact, you are..."
