"You're right," said Nicole. "Except..."

"Except what?"

"Except it's not really impossible. It's just pretty unlikely and would need a strange explanation. This thing," she said, holding up the stone, "can do strange and unlikely things, right?"

"Wait a minute. Nicole, it's mine. Can I have it back? Please?"

"Oh, sure. But I need to fix this first."

"How are you going to fix not having cheerleaders? You can't just wish up some cheerleaders, unless you want the stone to invent the weird reason why we have them."

"Lemme think. Okay, here we go. I wish that all the guys at this school who just became girls have the same abilities they had before, except those associated with male body parts. I wish that they play the same sports and have the same hobbies they did before, but that they don't look or dress differently from the girls they became."

Several flashes later, Nicole handed the stone to Jon. "See? It worked," she said, pointing to a newspaper clipping on the wall.

Jon read it. "Do you realize what you just did?" she asked. "Now we have a football team again, but they're all girls. Girls who mysteriously tackle other players as hard as guys would, who are mysteriously as strong as guys would be, but they don't have big muscles or anything. That makes no sense."

"That's the idea," said Nicole. "I get to be a cheerleader for them again. And what's so bad about cheerleading for a girls' team?"
