And Jon's urges were so strong that he had to do something about them. "I wish" he said, "that even though I don't need men I become pregnant right now and that I have my child right now and that I be a mother and that my need be satisfied!"
Karyn looked on in astonishment as Jon collapsed right on his own bed. Something was happening, and after suddenly hearing that strange wish she had a very good idea what. She got up and locked the door as best she could.
In the few moments it took for her to do that and return to Jon, Jon's belly had swollen, to a size where he was perhaps 3-4 months pregnant. As she watched, Jon got visibly larger, and it was all she could do to unzip Jon's pants and pull them off along with his underwear. Soon Jon was so bulging that the baby would have to come out soon. He convulsed, hours of labor compressed into a moment, and the baby slid out, making a mess. But its cord vanished and the mess disappeared and Jon began to stir. The baby began to crawl, while seeming to grow in size. Suddenly it pulled itself to its feet.
Jon struggled to stand and began to put his clothes back on. "I feel like I had a watermelon inside me..." he said.
"More than that" said Karyn. "Do you realize what you just wished?"
"Yeah, I wished to know what to do with a vagina and I suddenly had this desire to be a mother... so I wished..." There was something pulling at his shirt and he glanced down and gaped. "I don't believe it" he said.
A naked girl child, looking just like a miniature Jon, was tugging his clothes. "Mommy," she said, "are you okay? You got hurt falling!"
Instinctively Jon told the girl, "Of course, Mommy's okay." But what could he say to her? He somehow felt that he loved this child, but he didn't even know her name.
"I wish me and Karyn knew what history the wish just made. And I wish this girl has clothes on and doesn't notice them appearing. And I wish that this girl forget about any wishes she hears unless the wisher desires otherwise."
Jon was born a girl. But when she was going through puberty, she was diagnosed with a rare condition of unknown origin that made her body develop like a boy's. Hormone treatments meant to stop it not only didn't work, but stimulated her ovaries in a strange way, making her become pregnant. Her parents were opposed to abortion and Jon gave birth at age 12, one of the youngest mothers in existence. The malpractice suit brought in enough money to ease the burden of raising her daughter, who Jon named Gina. When Jon moved to this neighborhood, she presented herself as a boy, and nobody except his family and Karyn knows that she's a girl or the mother of a 5 1/2 year old daughter who's in kindergarten.
"Gina," said Jon, "I told you never to call me Mommy where people could hear."
"But there's no people, Mommy. Only you and Aunt Karyn."
"Are you telling me we're not people, Gina? That's not nice."
"I didn't mean it! And I wanna hug..."
"Of course, sweetheart," said Jon, and embraced her.
Karyn smiled a bit at the mother/daughter scene, but this was certainly the strangest event caused by the wishing stone. And soon afterwards....
