I nonchalantly reached into my pocket and held the stone. I quietly said out loud, "I wish that whenever I say 'copy that,' the last word I say, I will get from the person I am pointing at, but that the person will keep a copy of whatever I took. I wish that all wishes to change back for the 'give me' wish affected the 'copy' wish." The stone grew momentarily warm.
I looked around nervously. I cautiously pointed my index finger at a cute girl sitting a ways away from me, talking to a friend. I said, "Copy those shoes." Suddenly, the girl's yellow, 3-inch heeled sandals appeared on my feet. They were very awkward, and I stumbled the instant they materialized. I pointed at the girl again, and, admiring how gracefully she managed to walk in them, said, "You can have them back."
The shoes vanished from my feet. I breathed a sigh of relief. I wouldn't be trying that again in a hurry. Suddenly, I realized that my feet were very cold. I looked down to see that I wasn't wearing any shoes! Good thing I didn't try the wish with something more major. I instantly had an idea to fix that trouble.
I reached into my pocket again, grasping the stone. "First, I wish I had the shoes I put on this morning." My tennis shoes suddenly encased my feet. "Now to fix the problem... I wish that whenever I use my 'copy that' wish, when I give the copied item back, I will have the original item I had before the swap. Furthermore, I wish that if I copy an article of clothing, the clothing I was wearing would be in its proper place in my wardrobe at home." That ought to settle any problems!
