In Megan's bed, a baby woke up and began to cry.
"Don't worry, Megan," said Nick, "I'll change you back tonight."
The baby managed to say one word. "Changed?" Then she seemed to forget that Nick was talking about her and crawled off towards an interesting-looking colored pillow.
"Megan?" said Nick. "Remember me? Nick? You changed me. Well, I changed you."
"Nick?" replied the baby. "Nick! Mommy..."
"Uhh, Megan, is everything okay? You don't think you're a baby, do you? I didn't think I was really a girl when you changed me."
The baby crawled back towards Nick, trying to walk on the mattress and not quite managing it before she fell down into the blanket again.
Nick sighed. "And me without any baby food or milk." Which, thought Nick, was probably a dumb idea. If he was going to change Megan into a baby, he'd need baby food, right? He couldn't believe how badly he had messed things up. First, he changed Megan into a form that couldn't talk to him or even care that she had been transformed. Then, the form needed to be cared for and Nick hadn't made any preparations for that. How was he going to get through the next twelve hours?
