Jon sat on his bed for a while, still half-covered by blankets. How could he get the stone back? And just what was Kelly's "payback?" He glanced over at his clock. 7:45 AM. He was going to be late for school!
He jumped out of bed and dressed at top speed, throwing on a tshirt and jeans that were a little too loose for him over the underwear he had worn last night. Ah, being a guy has its advantages. Jon hoped that Kelly wouldn't change that too badly.
Jon dashed out of his room, down the stairs, and out the door. He continued to run, ignoring the uncomfortable way his underwear was bunching on him, until he was just outside his school. He had made it in record time, it was 7:55 by his watch. He saw Karyn standing just outside the door, waiting for him. He ran over to meet her, hiking his pants up a little, as they slipped a bit when he ran.
"Hey, sorry I'm late, Kelly was-" Jon started to say before he noticed Karyn's line of sight was lower than it usually rested. "Er... what are you staring at?"
"Just a little curious about something I just saw a moment ago. Can we talk somewhere a little more private?"
