Jon woke early the next morning, yawning and stretching. He wanted to have the entire day to wish with Karyn. He reached under his bed for the box he had put the stone in last night. When he opened the lid, however, the stone was missing! In its place, there was only a piece of paper that read:
"Jon, I'm coming in as soon as you've finished reading this letter. You're going to explain this stone to me. -Kelly."
At the very instant Jon finished reading the note, his 15-year-old sister Kelly barged into his room, looking irate and clutching the stone. "Well?" she asked.
"Well what?"
"Why did grampa give you this stone? What makes you so special that he thought you could handle a wishing stone? A wishing stone that doesn't let you reverse wishes!" Jon only stared at her in confusion. "I noticed you being secretive yesterday, so I thought I might see what you were up to. You really ought to find a new hiding place for your things. So I took it, and, wondering, or should I say 'wishing' out loud that I knew why you wanted to hide it."
Jon glared at her. "Klepto bitch..." he muttered.
"I heard that." She shot a glare back at him. "And you know how much I hate when you call me that. But of course, I'll let it slide this time... After all, I already got payback for all your torment in the past, even the rumor you spread about me being a transvestite in sixth grade." Kelly smirked.
"What did you wish for?!" Jon bellowed at her.
