And with that, Crystal took Karyn over to the gowns that were longer and elegant, while Jon went back to the dressing room to wait for his first gown.
"These are very stylish, reasonable, and will pass her school's dress code. They are a bit long, so she will want to wear at least a pair of 3 in heels to make sure not to drag this outside," and grabbing a turquoise gown, "Let's have her start with this one. Is this her first gown?"
"Yes, the first for a prom like this, so she will need help."
"Then why don't you sit over here, and I will help her try this on to get a feel for the fit of an A-Line gown like this."
"Thank you Crystal, she will really appreciate the help."
And with that, Crystal took the gown to the stall where Jon was.
"Karyn dear, let's get you into this one to try out and see how it fits."
She unzipped the gown, and gathered it up for Jon to step in. After she zipped him in, she laid a pair of plain 3 in clear mules on the floor and gestured for him to step into those.
"Just to get the right look for height in the gown. How does it feel Karyn?"
"Wow, this feels really nice Crystal. It is a bit tight, but still easy to move in. I think we better show my mom."
John found walking in heels in Karyn's body to be a bit more of a challenge since Karyn did not have the same skill that her mother did, but he gave it his best try.
"Dear, once you get your dress picked out, I recommend you get your shoes immediately and take them home to practice walking in them every day so that you are ready to dance the night away in them."
Jon did not like the sound of that, but felt worse that the real Karyn would have to master them. Maybe she would keep some of her mother's skills, or they could always use the stone to help later.
"So, what do you think of your daughter in her first gown?"
Karyn got up, and looked her old body over with a critical eye.
"I think I like the color range, but think maybe a little lighter, and maybe an asymmetric cut for the next one."
"Excellent choice, Karyn, since you are in that dress, why not come over and look over a few with your mother and I.
After a few minutes, they found the next perfect dress, and Jon was quickly dressed in it.
Again Karyn found fault, and had him go back for a darker blue.
Then back to lighter blues.
