"I wish I knew how Jen feels about me." As Jen heard the wish in the back of her mind, a new set of information came pouring into her mind: her emotions toward Joseph. Anger, confusion, friendliness, hatred, attraction, fear. Every time she received information about her own emotions, she would unconsciously examine her own emotions and it would cause them to change, so her emotions were constantly changing.
It was an odd experience, but the most dangerous part was that Joseph would know something was wrong. He wouldn't remember that he made the wish, but he would find it really strange he always knew the emotions of a girl he just barely met.
Jen could think a few ways around this wish, but none of them left her without consequence. She looked at the rock in her hand and said, "I wish..."
