"Your belly!" said Joseph. "You just got a lot bigger... like you're pregnant... but the child's due any day."
Jon(nie) sighed. Well, it looked like Joseph managed to hear a wish. So he wouldn't think it was normal. "I'd better explain," she said. "And I wish you'd believe me."
"I'm pregnant now because I have a magic stone. It grants wishes. If you don't hear the wish, things are as if it was always that way. If you hear the wish, you know it's a wish. I just accidentally wished that I'm pregnant by you... far enough pregnant that I could feel it."
"So you made a wish and got pregnant. We're married! It's normal!"
"The wishes changed things so I'm supposed to be like this. So I got pregnant around nine months ago."
"It's the 21st century, nobody cares that I made you pregnant before the marriage."
"I didn't want to get pregnant now. I really didn't want to get pregnant at all! That's because I'm a guy! We're supposed to be two guy friends in high school. It's complicated to explain but there was a whole string of bad wishes."
"What? Jon, do you love me?"
"Of course I do." They were, after all, happily married. "But this isn't really me. I love you and I want us to stay married. It's just that I want to be back to my old self..." But then Jon thought. He didn't, after all, want to completely be his old self. He'd never do anything to break apart his marriage! "Joseph, please help me... oooh, the baby's kicking. I wish you had another wish like the ones before except that the two of us won't forget it."
"What did you just do?"
Quickly Jon explained the three wishes that she had given Joseph. She also explained that Joseph's wishes couldn't be reversed with normal wishes. They could only be reversed with more Joseph wishes. So she gave Joseph another wish just now, so he could do that.
"I don't want you to become a high school guy," said Joseph, "but I know I can do something for you. So I wish...."
