"Hey John, are you ready to go? I wanna get there while the food is still hot,"
yelled Joseph.

John walked out from behind the gym. "Yeah, I'm ready to go. Let's get out of this hellhole for awhile."

John walked along with Joseph to his car. He decided to try and get him to use his wish before they made it to the restaurant. If he was lucky he could get him to wish that the cafeteria would be serving fish today or something small like that.

"Uh, Joseph. If you could have a small wish come true for your birthday what would it be?"

"I don't know," said Joseph uninterestingly.

"Well just think about it for a while," said John hoping that he would.

John waited patiently for Joseph to come up with a reply. He really wanted Joseph to make a small wish during the lunch break so that he wouldn't have to follow him around for the rest of the day. Lord knows that if Joseph made a stupid wish John would have to be there to correct it with his rock.

On the car ride over to the cafeteria John brought up the topic of one simple birthday wish.

"I don't know why you are going on about this birthday wish thing. I've made wishes on my birthday before and they've never come true."

"I'm just asking what you would do if you "hypothetically" got one wish. I mean, what would you wish for if a genie popped out of a magic bottle and said
that you could have one wish granted?" said John nervouly. He really didn't like the fact that he was conversing with Joseph on a topic that required the words "I" and "wish" in almost every sentence.

"That's easy! I would look that cheap-ass genie right in his eyes and say 'I wish that I would have 3 wishes ya stinking tightwad.' What kind of genie only grants one wish."

John felt the stone grow warm and then cool down only to warm up again. The stone did this 3 times.
