After the stone flashed, Sarah and Jen and Karyn turned around and walked toward where Meagan was.
"Oh no, they spotted me," Meagan said. She got up, turned around, and ran back to her house.
Sarah and her new friends ran after her. About half way to Meagan's house, they caught up with her.
"Agh. Okay, you got me. Are you gonna brainwash me, too?"
"Brainwash you?" asked Sarah.
"No, we just wanted to give you this." Jen held out the stone.
"What is it?"
"It's a wishing stone," said Karyn. "When we saw you following us, we agreed that you should have the stone instead of us."
"Why me?"
"Actually, I'm not sure," Jen said. "We just thought you should have it."
Meagan took the stone and made her first wish. "I wish ..."
