It was settled then. Jen decided to convince her sister that everyone's memories had changed. She opened the bathroom door to find a shocked Zoe on the other side.
"Who are you?!" her sister yelled.
"I'm Jen, your sister. I know you probably don't remember me, but there's a reason for that."
"What are you talking about?"
Jen held up the stone. "See this stone? It's magic. It grants wishes. I used it to change everyone's memories to think that I'm a boy named Jon. I can see that you don't believe me, so let me demonstrate."
Jen held the stone in her hand and said "I wish my toothbrush would become red instead of blue." And to Zoe's amazement, the toothbrush DID change color. She picked it up, looked at it, and said "That was amazing."
"Yes, it was. But I have to find a way to reverse the wish I made."
"Why don't you just wish that you never made the wish?" his sister asked.
"It doesn't work that way. You can't reverse the effects of a wish, if it's specific."
"Oh. So ... I'm gonna always think that I should have an older brother, when I really have an older sister?"
"Yeah, unless I can somehow find a loophole in the wish I made and change everyone back to normal. The problem is that I don't remember what I said when I wished everyone's memories to be altered."
Jen left the bathroom and headed towards her bedroom.
"Um, Jon? I mean Jen?"
"Yeah, what?"
"I just noticed something."
"What is it?"
"If you're supposed to be a girl, then," she pointed towards Jen's waist, "why are you wearing boy's underwear?"
"I'm what?!"
