Jon had to find answers from Karen, although he had a sinking feeling he knew them already. He straightened his new blonde hair (it felt so soft), and walked out of the bathroom, pretending nothing was wrong. He got stares from both guys and girls who walked by. He got stares from guys who walked by and curious glares from the popular girls who he walked by. Jon walked to Karen's locker, and waited for Karen.
Karen walked up a minute later, also giving Jon a strange stare.
"Umm.. hi" Karen said looking slightly down at (instead of up to) Jon, "Can you move over so I can get in my locker?"
"OH! Um. YES!" Jon said, blushing heavily and almost falling backwards. His new voice was so high and cute!
"Thanks," Karen said and smiled. She opened her locker while Jon stood there nervously looking at her. "Um, are you new here?" Karen asked.
"OH.." John said, "Yeah! Um. I'm new. Umm"
"Oh hi, I'm Karen! Good to meet you." she said as she closed her locker with her books. "Umm... need an introduction to the school?"
"Oh! That would be perfect," said Jon, looking at the ground (he had the tiniest pink and white shoes on), "Umm, can you show me where the... football field is?"
Karen lead Jon out of the hall and out to the stadium. They were both very nervous and didn't say much. Jon answered Karen's name question and he said his name was "Amy." He didn't know why. Finally, they got to the stadium. It was empty, of course, since it was behind the school and nobody had class there.
Karen said, "So, here we are, do you have class here?"
"Umm, no" Jon said, "I just wanted to, um, see where it is. I just wanted to talk to you, really.." both Jon and Karen blushed. "I mean, um, you seem like a nice person"
Karen smiled, "Thanks Amy! You do too!! I think we could be great friends. Although, I don't think I have much of a chance, you'll be the most popular girl at this school. You're so cute..!" Both of them blushed again.
Jon was reminded why he was here and got some support for it right there. He decided to get right down to business. "So.. um... do you find me, um, cute? I mean, like attractive cute?"
Karen blushed more than ever before at this question. "Well, um, yeah.. I really do"
Jon thought he had nothing to lose now. "So... you like girls?"
Karen looked at the ground shaking, "Yeah.." she said. After a long pause, she asked, "Do you?"
Jon responded the only way he could when someone questioned his sexuality. "YES! Of course!"
Karen finally looked up and smiled. She gave Jon a peck on the cheek and blushed one more time. "We have so much in common.. I feel like I know you already. Wanna skip class and go talk somewhere Amy? I really would like to be.." Karen paused, "friends with you!"
