"Damn, why'd I have to make it a time limit to reverse and not a code word. Now I have to stay this way for tonight."
Only, Jon realized, he didn't. Jon had wished everyone in the restaurant could feel that kind of love, and she was talking about women kissing. He had already kissed her mom--she had already felt it. Now that she had done so, the wish had come true and she thought she should be able to change back.
"I wish I wasn't my former Mom's lover."
And Jon felt a lot less creepy. Now all she'd have to do would be to go to bed. Tomorrow morning it would be over. She would wake up a guy again, with no daughter.
As Jon brushed her teeth, the 5 year old said, "Mommy, are you going to bed now?"
"Uhh... not yet," said Jon.
"Can you tuck me in bed?"
"Okay," said Jon. "Bye," she said.
"Where are you going, Mommy?"
"I'm not going anywhere, but you aren't going to exist tomorrow." As soon as Jon said it, she knew it was a mistake.
"What? What are you going to do to me, Mommy?"
"Nothing... just get to sleep."
"I'm scared! Am I going to wake up?"
"Never mind, don't worry about it!" The girl started to cry, but Jon got out the stone and said, "I wish you'd stop crying and be asleep in bed right now."
As Jon left her daughter in her bed, she wondered. Would it really be right to just let this little girl disappear? It would be easy enough to wish that she keep existing after tonight. Jon could even wish to stay a girl or be able to change into one. But that could cause lots of problems... there had to be a better way... what could Jon do?
