"Fix it, of course!" exclaimed Kevin. "Fix Megan, at least."
"Okay. I wish that Megan is still dating Kevin, not me."
"What's this 'I wish' stuff?"
"I really wish you won't question it. No, I'd better not be coy with the stone and use words like 'really'. I wish you won't question it."
"Question what?" said Kevin.
At this time, the door opened. Megan stuck her head in. "Are you okay in there?" she said.
Then she eyed Kevin's obvious breasts. Jon wondered what things were like in the new reality where Kevin had always been a girl, but to his surprise, Megan said "Wow. You're even wearing a bra. How did you manage to get one of those?"
"Huh?" said Jon.
"When Kevin changed into a girl and ran into the restroom, I didn't know his underwear changed! Unless someone gave him a bra. And I certainly didn't."
"You remember him transforming?"
"He suddenly turned into a girl and he ran off to the bathroom crying," said Megan. "Why wouldn't I remember that?"
"But I wished... No, wait." It occurred to Jon--the wish is that he is treated as one of the guys. The reason everyone treats him as one of the guys is because they know that until a few minutes ago he was one of the guys. "I get it. Kevin just turned into a girl and everyone knows it."
"Of course everyone knows it," said Megan. "That's obvious."
"Are you still dating him?" asked Jon.
"If you're asking if I'm going to break up with someone fifteen minutes after something happens to him, of course I won't." Megan stopped and didn't continue the thought.
Then Karyn poked her head into the bathroom. "All right, Jon," she said, "what did you do?"
"You what?"
"First of all, I turned into a girl. Then I moved the spell to Kevin, so he's the girl instead. That changed everyone's memories, including Kevin's, but I changed them back."
"Is that it, Jon?" asked Karyn. "Kevin's turned into a girl but everyone knows it?"
"Right. And they'll still treat him like one of the guys. Of course 'everyone' is just you and Megan."
"I wouldn't say that's good, but I imagined a lot worse. What's the rest of it?"
"What, Karyn?"
"You're hiding something, Jon. I've known you long enough to tell."
"I... fine, Karyn. I messed up. When I turned Kevin into a girl, he got new memories which made him in love with me. He wanted me to restore his real memories, but if I did that, he wouldn't be in love with me any more. So I let him add something to the wish."
"And...?"
"And... Kevin turned into a girl but everyone knows it... and he's going to fall in love with me and we're going to be dating."
Karyn could barely suppress a laugh. "You messed up, that's for sure. Poor Megan, poor Kevin, poor everyone... you really shouldn't be pushing wishes onto other people. But it looks like you may be learning your lesson with Kevin. And you never know, you two could make a great couple."
