Karyn looked at the remote. She noticed that the arrow keys pointing left and right had symbols on them, like the hourglass symbol on the up-down keys. But she couldn't make them out.
"My contacts don't fit since I changed," she said. "I wish I had 20/20 vision."
"I wish you had 20/20 vision," said Jon, smiling and holding the rock." Instantly, Karyn's eyes focused.
"Hey! Thanks!" she said, and gave him a kiss of gratitude. Then she looked at the keys again. "Okay. I'd thought the symbol was of a bridge. But now I see they're scales.
"I know what they do!" she cried. She backed up, pointed at Jon, and pressed the right-hand scale button.
Immediately, Jon felt his clothes tightening. His stomach grew until his navel could be seen protruding under his shirt tail.
"Hey!" he complained! "What's the big idea of making me fat after I fixed your eyes like that?"
"Just testing. I'll fix it."
Karyn pressed the left-hand scale button. Immediately, the bulge under Jon's shirt receded, as did the fat on the rest of his body. A moment later, he was back to normal. And the moment after that, he had to grab his pants to keep them from falling.
"Great!" he said. "As if I don't get enough grief from the jocks at school."
"Sorry," said Karyn. "The button works faster than I thought. Hold on."
She hit the ORIG key, now understanding why it was there.
"My turn," said Jon, demanding the remote.
Karyn winced a little as he pointed it at her. She felt herself growing a little. Is he turning me into a giant woman? she wondered. She noticed Jon staring at her -- in awe? she wondered.
"My god," said Jon.
"What did you do to me?" asked Karyn.
"I tried one of the hourglass keys and made you older."
"How old?"
"Not too much. You're in your 20s, maybe early 30s. But -- you're gorgeous!"
And now you're going to put me in diapers, I suppose?"
"No," said Jon, hitting the ORIG key. "I know what you look like as a little kid. I was one with you."
"Enough about the remote," said Karyn. "I have some good ideas on how to use it. What about the rock?"
