"I can't answer," said Jon. "I have no idea. Which menas...."

Karyn nodded. "The stone. Because if something dangerous is going on here, we need to find out. First of all, I wish we have both of the stones. Second, I wish that we knew exactly what happened to our twins."

"Uh-oh," said Jon as the information entered his head. "I think we're in trouble... The movie. Why couldn't we have picked a better one?"

"Well, they didn't really pick the movie..." replied Karyn.

It was right out of Invasion of the Body Snatchers, the second one. The other Jon and Karyn had wished that there was a logical explanation of why there were two of each one that has nothing to do with magic.

The movie has pod-created duplicates of people. And it's science fiction--it has nothing to do with magic.

The movie--at least one version of it--also ended with one of the pod people making an eerie scream. Sort of like that loud note which they were humming. Very much like that loud note that they were humming. There was one difference--in the movie making a pod person made the original dry up and wither away, but Jon and Karyn were still alive--but otherwise, it was all too familiar.

Jon grabbed Karyn's hand and they ran off. But they had hardly gotten a few dozen feet before people began to approach them from all around. Park rangers, Gwens, and lots of strangers... but they weren't acting much like people. More like, well, pod people who weren't bothering to pretend to be normal people at the moment.

"I wish we were a mile away from here!" said Jon.

Of course, the pod people, when they did have their stone, had made some wishes. It was impossible for any humans to escape the area, and Jon couldn't reverse that wish....
